DESCRIPTION
Kibei male. Born 1915 in Florin, California. From age seven to seventeen, lived in Japan when the family decided to move there. Returned to the United States in 1932 and attended school. Accepted into the California civil services, but was fired after World War II began. During the war, removed to the Fresno Assembly Center, California, and the Jerome concentration camp, Arkansas. Left camp with sister and her husband and found a job at the University of Pennsylvania. Eventually spent career working for the American Friends Service Committee.
