Nisei female. Born and raised in Hawaii. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, father was arrested by the FBI. The rest of the family was removed to the Jerome concentration camp, Arkansas, and the Gila River concentration camp, Arizona, to be reunited with father. After leaving camp, moved with family to Japan before eventually returning to Hawaii and then moving to Portland, Oregon.
