Sansei female. Born December 27, 1942, in the Topaz concentration camp, Utah. Prior to World War II, parents lived and worked in Alameda, California. During World War II, the family was sent to the Tanforan Assembly Center, California, and the Topaz concentration camp, Utah. After the war, the family returned to Alameda, where Judy grew up. She lived and worked in San Francisco for a time, then eventually returned to Alameda, where the family had long been involved in the Japanese American community.
