Caption on reverse [translation]: "Japan [?] of Tokugawa [?] held Prince Okus's 600-year commemoration festival in May this year. The first series of the history of Prince Okus, which is still surveyed throughout Japan, was completed in the end of November. Director Mori of [?] will go to the Imperial Household Agency to complete the procedures to present the first series to the Emperor of Japan, the Empress, and the Crown Prince on the 12th. The photograph book of historic objects consists of 150 pages. The book is made of embossed work of gold and silver with [?] design. The book is a beautiful and elegant one. In the photograph: Left, the author, Tokutaro Hashimoto. Right, Ryuji Okajima and the photograph books which will be a gift."
