Caption on reverse [translation]: "Ambassador's report on important pending problems. (Tokyo) 1934 December 12. Tomekichi Ota returned home on the 10th. He visited Minister Hirota at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at 11:45 on the morning of the 12th. After Ota's formal greeting, he reported on the political situation of Russia. Ota talked about an agreement in negotiations on the exchange rate of [?], a revision of the fishing agreement between Japan and Russia, and the intention of the government of Moscow regarding important pending problems between Japan and Russia. He expressed his important opinions related to the future of foreign policy between Japan and Russia. The meeting went for an hour. After he left the Minister's room at 12:45 p.m. he met with Vice Minister Shigemitsu and the chief directors of the related bureaus to greet them. In the photograph 1, an interview of Ambassador Ota with the Foreign Minister."
