Caption on front [translation]: "'It was 1929 when I started to work as an actress, after I graduated from a girls' school. This year is my third year. I am 18 years old.' She changed out of her costume for the revue 'Cheers, Women's Kingdom.' After she had on everyday clothes she started to talk in a way that is different from a star. 'We have an Ume cast and a Matsu cast. We play at Shochiku Asakusa Theater and Shinjuku alternatively. Even though the audience wants to see us, they seem to be different at Asakusa Theater and Shinjuku. It is a difficult experience to play erotic roles because the audience says unpleasant things.' (Her face turned red when she said this.) 'Hearing these unpleasant things makes me cry. The audience likes to see us in miniskirts through which they can see our legs.'
