Caption on reverse [translation]: "Last trial for 5.15 Incident. (Tokyo) October 24, 1935. The last appeal for the accessory charge of Dr. Shumei Okawa was held on the 24th at 10:25 a.m. The four defendants, Shumei Okawa, Shuzo Kashirayama, Kenichiro Honma, and [?] Yoshioka, did not show up, and the empty bar created a strict atmosphere. Among about a hundred in the galleries, we were able to find the face of [?] Nakajo, who is Mr. Honma's brother-in-law, and he was very nervous. We were also able to find Mr. [?], who is an executive of [?]. Soon Judge Shimizu gave his judgment, and at 10:55 a.m. the last big appeal of the most surprising incident of this generation closed in only twenty minutes. The photos are: 1, Osatake, Yamauchi, Judge Shimizu, Oda, and Ezaki, from left. 1, Dr. Okawa on the day of the trial."
