Caption on reverse [translation]: "Bail for Dr. Shumei Okawa. (Tokyo) November 13, 1944. Dr. Okawa and [?] received a penalty of imprisonment for accessory from Chief Justice Yoshida. During their appeal they asked to leave prison for treatment of [?] and [?]. On the 12th, their proposal was accepted by the prosecutor and they left the prison on the 12th at 4p.m. The photo is 1, Dr. Shumei Okawa at home"
