Caption on reverse [translation]: "(Tokyo) May 28, 1937. An award ceremony for the winner of the pole vault, Ohye, was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the night of the 27th. He received a trophy from the U.S. Track and Field League, and a plaque was passed to Ohye by Intelligence Department Executive Director Kawa. Ohye went to the U.S. and played brilliantly among U.S. athletes. His activities impressed U.S. citizens, and he also contributed to goodwill. Therefore, he received a special plaque with a message that says 'Japanese Sportsman Goodwill Ambassador.' The photo is 1, Ohye receiving his award from Intelligence Executive Director Kawa."
