Caption on front [translation]: "Master Nakano ws born in Fukuoka prefecture and is now 50 years old. He first learned under master Tetsuho Takao, who passed away, after he entered the Bukukai. In 1905 he changed to a martial arts teaching institution and became an associate professor in 1906. He received his certificate of refinement at age 32 and became a master at age 43.
