DESCRIPTION
1 ink drawing on paper: The drawing depicts an art studio. The walls, ceilings, and floor are drawn and shaded with various short straight lines. The man painting on an easel in foreground is painting the barracks and Castle Rock, Castle Rock can also be seen in the background through the window. In midground are painting supplies and a set-up of fruits on the right, that the middle easel depicts. In background, one (1) man on left sits at a desk looking through books, one (1) man on right painting a scene, between them is a stove. \n\nIn the light area of a subject's pants on the bottom left corner reads the artist's initials, "D.T.H." in black ink. Written on bottom right corner in graphite pencil reads, "C.A. Art School / 1945 / Dick T. Hamaoka"
