Check-in letter from Camp Blanding, the first written in six days. When Tad's company got back from bivouac (six days ago), they were told to be ready to leave camp at any moment and weren't allowed to make phone calls or write letters. About half Tad's company was shipped off a day later, but not him; the men who left were sent on furlough before relocating. John Miyasaki headed back to Tule Lake to see his family. Tad says that he isn't supposed to be writing this letter and implores his parents not to tell anyone about it. Tad expects to be on furlough in a few weeks, but says he might not be able to write again before then. Parents' note on envelope back: 106 Tuesday Jan 2, 1945
