Alice (Yuri) Sumida Endo's letter two weeks after arriving at the American Friends Hostel describing life in comparison to Rohwer. She mentions that her husband, Frank Aiji Endo, is working at a bindery in Dayton, Ohio, and stays in a YMCA. She discusses the shortage of housing and recommends that no one be released from relocation centers without adequate housing where they are being relocated.
