Nakayama discusses his time in Japanese language school, speaking only Japanese at home, an instructor of his who did not understand why a Nisei student did not speak fluent Japanese, his father's arrest by the FBI, his family's evacuation from LA and internment in Manzanar, and his family's return to LA after the war.
