Eastern California Museum Harry Bentley Wells and Shirley Elizabeth Wells Collection

Assignment by Grace Oshio for period 5 class taught by Mr. Harry Bentley Wells, a teacher at Manzanar High School. Grace describes her first months at Manzanar. Her first impression is an isolated place for prisoners, slowly though camp facilities were completed and improved. She speaks of the need to work with your neighbors to borrow items and improve the living situation. She concludes that many of the conveniences have been completed, but she hopes for more recreational options. Transcription is found in item: ecm_wells_9033.
