Caption below photo: Saitaro "Cy" Dick Towata of the San Jose, CA., Asahi team, 1927. He was recruited to play with the Asahi in 1924 for a barnstorming tour of Japan and Manchuria (China). The Asahi lost three of four against University teams in Japan, but rebounded to win three straight against the Manchurian teams.
