Incarcerated at the Stockton Assembly Center and Rohwer concentration camp, Arkansas. Resettled with family members in Philadelphia. Graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work. Active volunteer with the JACL: co-organizer of the Philadelphia chapter, and member of both the National JACL Redress Committee and JACL Legislative Education committee. Volunteer with the JACL Legislative Education Committee from October 1985 to February 1986. From 1986-88 partially compensated for role as executive director of JACL Legislative Education Committee.<p>(This interview was conducted at the Voices of Japanese American Redress Conference, held on the UCLA campus and sponsored by the UCLA Asian American Studies Center and the UCLA School of Public Policy and Social Research. Because of the full conference schedule, our interviews were limited to one hour. The interviews therefore focused primarily on a single topic, namely, the narrator's role in the redress movement.)",
