Original WRA caption: Jerome Relocation Center, Dermott, Arkansas. Evacuees at the Jerome Relocation Center chop their own wood in nearby wooded areas. After it is sawed and split to convenient size for burning stoves it is piled alongside each barrack.

Evacuees still remaining in the Jerome Center wave to their friends on the train from behind the wire fence surrounding the camp.
