Nisei male. Born December 24, 1930, in Los Angeles, California. Grew up in California where parents ran a successful grocery store business. During World War II, removed to the Santa Anita Assembly Center, California, and the Heart Mountain concentration camp, Wyoming. While in Heart Mountain, became involved in Boy Scouts activities. Left camp and returned to California, then was drafted into the army. After service, returned to Los Angeles and became a teacher.
