Nisei male. Born July 5, 1924, in Seattle, Washington, but raised in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Lived in Japan for several years, returning to the U.S. just prior to the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941. Moved with family to Moses Lake, Washington, as part of "voluntary evacuation." Drafted into the army and served with the Military Intelligence Service in Japan during the U.S. occupation, eventually returning to Bainbridge Island.
