Nisei male. Born April 15, 1937, in Los Angeles, California. Grew up in the Boyle Heights area of Los Angeles. During World War II, removed to the Santa Anita Assembly Center, California, and the Rohwer concentration camp, Arkansas. After leaving camp, lived with family in the Burbank trailer camp before returning to Los Angeles. Established a career with the Japanese American newspaper, the Rafu Shimpo.
