Black and white photographic print of Aya Taketomi sitting outside in chair with house’s sliding glass doors behind her. Donor stated that many people owned summerhouses in Karuizawa, because the climate was cooler than Tokyo. Aya Taketomi, sitting in the chair in front of her family’s summerhouse, was the daughter of the former Japanese ambassador to Turkey. Donor and Aya met when Aya visited the Park Hotel in Tokyo where Donor was staying. Inscribed on back: "NOV 49/KARUIZAWA"
