Shiuko Sakai Collection

Black and white photographic print of unidentified individuals standing outside at Yoko Takahashi’s wedding. Two women stand with their backs to the camera, one dressed in a kimono the other in a western style coat. Yoko's head is visible between their shoulders. Shiuko Sakai, the donor, met Yoko around 1947-1948 when Donor was billeted at an all-female hotel and Yoko was working there as a floor guard.
