Caption on reverse [translation]: "[?] at the Yasukuni Shrine. (Tokyo) 1938 April 23. A special festival at the Yasukuni Shrine will be held from the 24th to the 28th. The spirits of those who died for their homeland, Japan, are honored at Yasukuni Shrine. The Emperor of Japan will come to the Yasukuni Shrine on the 26th. A preliminary drill to welcome the Emperor was held at 10 a.m. on the 23rd. The number of visitors to the shrine, including bereaved families, increased on the 23rd. Admiral Osumi, who is the head of the festival committee, gave his impressions of the festival in a talkie appearance.
