Caption on reverse: "MAYOR RECEIVES KABUKI PLAYER: Mayor John H. Wilson greeted a troupe of kabuki girls from the mainland when they made a courtesy call yesteday following their arrival. The mayor is pictured with Miss Miyoko Watanabe, headliner of the show. The troupe, composed entirely of Nisei girls, will put on a kabuki show at the McKinley auditorium January 1 to 7. It was erroneously stated in yesterday's news story that the shows for January 1 and 2 had been sold out. Actually, only the reserved seats had been sold out. General admission tickets are still available for those performances, and may be purchased at the McKinley box office or from members of the sponsoring groups, the Davies Athletic Club and Mitzi's School of Tailoring and Costume Designing.--(Hawaii Times photo by George Miyachi)."
