Caption on reverse: "TREASURES FROM JAPAN ARRIVE: Two hundred and nine Japanese art objects which arrived here Tuesday aboard the NYK freighter Kyomei Maru are being unpacked for the Treasures from Japan exhibition at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, Feb. 19 to Mar. 24. The collection includes sculptures, Buddha images, "Noh" masks, chinaware and woven cloth. Pictured admiring of the outstanding Buddhas (Dainichi Nyorai) are Robert P. Griffing (left), director of the Honolulu Academy of Arts, and Dr. Jiro Harada, who is here with three other outstanding experts in various fields of Japanese art from the co-sponsor of the exhibit, the Tokyo National Museum.--(Hawaii Times photo)."
