Caption on reverse: "WINS BRONZE STAR: Army photographer M/Sgt. Frank Cordeiro, Jr., of Honolulu readies his camera in Korea, where he recently received the Bronze Star Medal for his combat photography. He is assigned to the Eighth Army public information office. Cordeiro, whose parents like in Kailua, Oahu, and whose wife, Joyce, and four children live at 2402 W. Myrtle street, Honolulu, entered the Army in 1943. He served as an infantryman with the 1st Cavalry Division in the Philippines in 1944 and in 1945 became a combat photographer. --(U.S. Army photo)."
