Caption on reverse [translation]: "The Miraculous Voice Goes to the Movies. (Tokyo) April 16, 1937. Helen Keller's miraculous voice and holy appearance were captured by a talkie camera under the luxuriantly blossoming cherry trees of the Imperial Hotel's courtyard on her first Sunday in Japan.

With the assistance of Ms. Thomson [illegible] the dialog under the cherry trees was [illegible] recorded so that the great miracle of the 20th century that America has borne could be reproduced on the silver screen for all the Japanese people. Photograph: Helen Keller being recorded."
