DESCRIPTION

Caption on reverse [translation]: "(Tokyo) October 12, 1934. Northern Rail Deputy Director Kuznetsov arrived in Shimonoseki on the evening of the 11th to bring the specific Soviet plan regarding transfer of the northern railroad to Tokyo. He immediately boarded the Fuji express train, arriving at Tokyo Station at 4:50 p.m. on the 12th, where he was met by Soviet Ambassador Yurenev, other embassy staff, and a party from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He then left for his hotel. Photographs: 1. Kuznetsov (center) entering Tokyo."
