Amidst a whirlpool of swelling uncertainty as laborers increasingly radicalize by the day and strikes become frequent, the American Federation of Labor passed a resolution demanding a five day, six hours a day work week at its packed general meeting in San Francisco on October 1, reflecting the consensus of all American workers.
