Caption on reverse [translation]: What are They Talking About? Old Man Ford and Ms. Mary Pickford. (New York) Rengo. This is a photo snapped by chance upon encountering Automotive King Henry Ford and 'Yankee Sweetheart' Mary Pickford (recently divorced from Douglas [Fairbanks] and now cheerful (?)) engaged in a pleasant chat after Ms. Pickford came to see the exhibition for Ford's autobiography recently held in New York. As both are giant figures which America can boast to the world about, this photo ran in all the American papers and was very well received. [written] January 19, 1934."
