Caption on reverse: "American Ace Bags 26th Jap Plane. Capt. Joe Foss of the U.S. Marines takes a rest shortly after bagging three Japanese planes to bring his score to 26, topping all American records for enemy planes shot down. Captain Foss flew a Wildcat fighter plane from Henderson Field, which the Marines captured from the Japs."
