Caption on reverse: "Navy Secretary greeted by Adm. Stump: Charles S. Thomas, secretary of the Navy, is shown being greeted by Adm. Felix B. Stump, commander-in-chief, Pacific and U.S. Pacific Fleet, on his arrival at Hickam at 9:30 this morning with Mrs. Thomas for a two-day visit before leaving here Saturday night on an inspection tour of Navy and Marine installations in the Pacific and Far East. It is the secretary's first tour of Navy installations in that area since he assumed office in May, 1954. He plans to spend five days with the Fleet in the Far East and will probably be in Japan or Formosa for Christmans. (Hawaii Times photo)."
