Caption on reverse: "These Men Head America's Huge Ship Construction Program. These three men, as directors of the U.S. War Shipping Administration, supervise the cargo shipbuilding program in the United States which is already turning out more than two ships a day to speed war supplies to the Allied nations all over the world. A total of at least 8,000,000 gross tons of cargo space will be produced this year, with the shipbuilding industry merely beginning to get under way in its mass-production effort. Shown examining models of the vessels they are building are, left to right: Lewis W. Douglas, newly-appointed Deputy Administrator; Rear Admiral Howard L. Vickery, Deputy Administrator and Rear Admiral Emory S. Land, Director of the Board (Not for use in the British Isles)."
