Spruance, left, U.S. ambassador to the Philippines is shown being greeted by Gov. and Mrs. Samuel Wilder King at the Honolulu International airport, as he passed through Honolulu last night on his way back to Manila from Washington. The ambassador spent a week in Washington on his first visit since he took over the Philippinese post 20 months ago.
