Caption on reverse [translation]: "Lindy Finally Sets Off. (New York) Rengo. As we already reported in yesterday's foreign cable, the plane for King of the Air Col. Lindbergh and his wife's visit to the Orient at long last headed for Washington on the first step of its journey on the 28th. This photograph: shows the colonel and his wife comfortably flying in the skies near New York recently for their final test flight. This was a previously received photograph, but there was a need for a variety of photographs as the arrival of same plane draws near."
