Nisei male. Born August 23, 1927, in Los Angeles, California. Went to Japan for a time as a child with family before returning to California. During World War II, removed to the Manzanar concentration camp, California. While in camp, learned the saxophone and played with the Jive Bombers band. After leaving camp, attended college and began a career in dentistry while continuing to play music professionally.
