DESCRIPTION
3-page handwritten letter written on recto and verso from Fumiko Fukuda to Mrs. Whitney on June 12, 1942. Fumiko writes that Mrs. Whitney's letter was a welcome one and the Fukuda family had begin to wonder if anything had happened to the Whitney family, she thanks Mrs. Whitney for being concerned about her father, the blankets that Mrs. Whitney sent, the mess hall is completely Japanese and Japanese-American and the steward is a Japanese-American boy from Riverside, that the days are getting warmer.
