Sohei (John) Hohri and Harold Landon Letters Collection

Letter from John (Sohei) Hohri to Harold Landon, dated April 13, 1942. Letter in pencil on unlined paper, written in all capital letters. Includes a chart for Harold to fill in scores from a Manuel Arts vs. University H.S. track meet. Sohei includes drawings of pole vaults and hurdles, and mentions that he has moved again. Drawings include an opened suitcase featuring a rolled up document ("Landon's Masterpiece"), snow topped mountains, a barracks building, and a boy getting immunized against typhoid (hurt face with a giant syringe). He writes about activities at camp: a climbing rope, a horizontal bar, and a side horse. Drawings include a boy climbing the rope, a boy balancing on the side horse, a caricature of Bob Landon in striped pajamas, and a disgusted face held on a post.
