Tomio Itabashi and Frances (Itabashi) Nishimura Collection

Letter to Frances from Dr. Van Hazel, who tried and failed to save Tomio’s life before he died of the tuberculosis that he contracted while at camp. "Tomio never held any resentment toward our government for having developed tuberculosis or having lost anything because of the war conditions. He told me that he was only glad that he had the privilege of living in America."
