Caption by Homer Yasui: "An early Hood River parade, showing the [Hood River] Japanese marching up Oak Street in medieval costumes, probably during the Fourth of July. According to Ruth Guppy, this parade was held on July 4, 1914, following a production of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Mikado at Coe's Spring...[Masuo Yasui] can be seen in a western suit and hat, shaking some sort of rattle."
