Yasui Family Collection

Caption by Homer Yasui: "This is a reproduced photograph on a card, of Mr. and Mrs. T. Kawabe. At the top of this card is a handwritten notation that says, To Mr. and Mrs. Yasui. Underneath that, there is a caption that says 'In Gratful (sic) Memory of Our Visit to America[']...I strongly suspect that this may have been the Reverend Teikichi Kawabe, but...if he was, then this was the very man who started the Japanese Methodist Mission in Portland in 1893."
