DESCRIPTION

Nisei soldier's caption: Mtns above Menton. Distant mtn. was enemy. The C.P. was in Menton and our rifle companies in the above mtns facing the jerries. The C.P. was shelled so moved to the Astoria Hotel. We had defensive positions here facing some fascist divisions. The rest of the 442nd came down and joined us here we held the coast. 2nd Bn. next and the 3rd next. We had our Xmas here.
