DESCRIPTION

Nisei soldier's caption: St. Martin's a town in the French Alps. After the tough time up north it was pretty easy here. It was a beautiful country so clean and untouched by war. Our Bn. was spread far out companies being from 10 to 20 miles away from the C.P. Just occasional patrols and jeep patrols. Communications had a big job with wire and radio going full blast. Had my first overseas Thanksgiving in St. Saveur near St. Martin's where Able Co. was stationed. Turkey for the day. The 2nd and 3rd Bn. 442nd Inf. were still up north.
