While such editorial pinion as was evidenced continued favorable to the plan, news stories reported hostility in some places. Legislation to prohibit induction of Japanese-Americans has been introduced in the Oregon legislature; the California American Legion, the Native Sons of the Golden West and other California citizen gruops have come out against military service by Japanese-Americans.
