Original summary: Press interest in the Nisei military service has tapered off. While such editorial pinion as was evidenced continued favorable to the plan, news stories reported hostility in some places. Legislation to prohibit induction of Japanese-Americans has been introduced in the Oregon legislature; the California American Legion, the Native Sons of the Golden West and other California citizen gruops have come out against military service by Japanese-Americans.
