Caption below photo: Issei Hikotaro Harry Kono fished for enjoyment. Besides having a floral shop in Alameda, he was a trophy winning salt/freshwater sport fisherman and community leader. He loved baseball and sponsored baseball teams. Seen here is Hikotaro in 1936 and his big catch of striped bass.
