She returned to California in 1939. She and her family were incarcerated at Topaz. In 1953, Meriko traveled to Japan again to visit with friends and family.",

    "processinfo": "Digital files were provided to Densho in July of 2022 via a thumbdrive sent in the mail. The collection was processed by Kelsie Flack in the summer of 2023 and Micah Merryman in December of 2023.\r\n\r\nThe collection included HTML webpages with biographical information and detailed captions that were created by the donor to memorialize Meriko Maida. The HTML files are saved as master files, however, without all the support files with it, the HTML links and images are broken.
