    "bioghist": "Seiso Bitow (11/18/1886-6/30/1974) and his wife Kimiko immigrated to the United States from Hiroshima, Japan and become prominent figures in the Seattle, Washington area. Seiso worked in the insurance industry and was active in the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Seattle Hiroshima Club. He and his wife attended many weddings and other social events in Seattle throughout the mid-1900s. Seiso and Kimiko had three children: Leonard Masahiko, Nobi, and Ikuko. Leonard had two sons: Richard and Larry. Ikuko, nicknamed Cookie, married Robert (Bobby) Chan in 1950 and they had three children: Jaydene (Dee Dee), Paul, and Elizabeth (Liz). Seiso's sister, Yoshiko Bitow Maeda, married into the Maeda family and several Maeda family portraits from the Portland, Oregon area are present in the scrapbook.",
