Narrator Flora Ninomiya

Nisei female. Born April 8, 1935, in Richmond, California. Grew up in Richmond, where grandfather established a flower nursery business. During World War II, removed to the Amache concentration camp, Colorado. Returned to Richmond and resumed the family business after the war.

Nisei male. Born May 15, 1930, in Marysville, California. Family operated a farm prior to World War II. Following the bombing of Pearl Harbor, was removed to the Merced Assembly Center, California, and Granada (Amache) concentration camp, Colorado. Remained in Colorado after the war.

Sansei female. Born October 16, 1937, in San Francisco, California. During World War II, removed to the Granada (Amache) concentration camp, Colorado. Family briefly left camp for Utah before voluntarily entering the Topaz concentration camp, Utah, when mother was pregnant. After leaving camp, returned to San Francisco and resumed elementary school.
