Caption by Masuo Yasui: "On July 20th, 1924 Oak Grove Japanese hold a picnic at Yasui Bro[ther]'s Ranch at Mosier [Lake]. A party is ready to cross." Caption by Homer Yasui: "This was an undokai (a combination picnic and field day) which was/is a classical Japanese American festivity anywhere in the U.S. Dad has caption this as being an 'Oak Grove Japanese' picnic, but if there were 200 people there as he had written, then that was [a] lot more than just the Oak Grove people. That gathering had to be more of a community-wide event."
